New Style Seppa

Description

Just a little preview of the new style I'm working on. It's taking me a long time because of having to rework my whole process, but I think it'll be worth it at the end. The goal is to include every piece from a real katana into my new works, even the seppa/spacers. But again, this also means that everything I do is different from normal, down to the paints and ito that I use.

Now these pieces are called the seppa. They are spacers that go on either side of the tsuba/guard, and are really thin. Really thin. They are usually plain, with small teeth around the edge. However, there are some decorative styles out there, and you know I couldn't just have a plain anything on this one. (in case you haven't noticed, this is gonna be a special work) Took forever to file these down to the right thickness, and then the scalloped edging took a couple hours as well. The smallest pieces seem to take the longest here. Anyways, I also threw in a picture for the band-aid count, up to two. Again feel free to comment/discuss. Although, I've been working pretty well from when I wake up till I sleep on this, so I probably won't respond for a little bit. Thanks in advance for putting up with me!

Time into project: 7 hrs (20 hrs total)
Band-aid count: 2 + scratches
Curse/Swear/Bad language count: A lot.
